Happy New Year!! (a few weeks late!)

We had such a great time at our New Year's Eve celebration.  Not sure how many people were in attendance but I think everyone had fun!  The park managers, Lesa and Joey, hired a DJ for the night. He played a mix of music and kept us dancing until right before midnight.

Ready to celebrate!

Dancing the night away!

We've been quite busy these past few weeks.  :-)  I have taken up sewing and quilting.  It's something I have been wanting to learn for years...not sure why I never had my mother teach me when I was growing up.  But now I think I am addicted to it!

The quilt is a work in progress....I should have it finished within the next 2 weeks.

We've been hanging out with friends, enjoying a few meals together, and had an awesome time at "Happy Hour" this past Thursday. We all met at the clubhouse and enjoyed a bluegrass band.  It was amazing.  I still go to exercise class 6 times a week....it's a good bunch of ladies and we have fun while working out.  Dan's been doing a bit of tinkering on various projects.

And, we've been shopping!  We picked up this beauty last week.....

Now all we have to do is figure out all the bells and whistles that it came with!!  It sure is a nice, smooth ride.

  5. Nice truck! I've always wanted to sew and a friend here at Lk Mead has a machine and has been showing me a few things. I think I might like it too. Did you have a sewing machine or did you buy one? I'll be using my friends machine until I decide it's something I'd really use. Happy new year to you guys!
